The International Forensic Summit (TIFS) http://www.theforensicsumm it.org/index.php is a global partnership between multiple regional forensic science networks representing a broad range of forensic groups; e.g., science, medicine, patterned evidence, and crimes scene. The groups participating include not only directors of forensic institutes, but learned societies representing practitioners at all levels, educational groups, and key enabling bodies. The International Association of Forensic Sciences is proud to support this important initiative and encourages all to attend this enlightening discussion Wednesday afternoon.

Expert Witness Testimony Techniques for Forensic Scientists will provide forensic specialists with tools needed to testify effectively in a court of law. The unique techniques used in this session in teaching expert witness testimony are tried and proven to be successful! In light of the Daubert decisions and similar court case law, cross examination these days is different and witnesses need to be ready for it. The four hour session will address not only the specific issues which face you today as individual scientists but how you can develop a system within your laboratories to address continuing education on this topic with your new employees. Plan to attend this special Wednesday evening session.
